Carol Orwin SSS

Open Studio 2014 I am passionately interested in the muscular form, movement, and power of the animals that I model. I aim to catch their vitality, nature and personality without compromising the anatomical integrity of the sculpture. I model in clay after meticulous research and observation of the subject. Wherever possible, I study the animals directly and try to interpret their actions. I make my own limited edition silicone rubber moulds, casting them in Bronze, Copper, Iron or Marble resin to produce an attractive choice of finishes. When commissioned I have work cast in Foundry bronze.

Commissions welcome. Casting for others done, and artwork for sale
