Ruth works on large scale sculptural forms and functional seating using mainly oak, cedar and seqoia, as well as creating public sculpture for community spaces. Ruth creates unique art works for sale at her studio and works on site specific sculpture that can be found in many schools, parks and private gardens in Surrey:- memorial and garden benches, tree sculptures. Her work celebrates the natural beauty of wood itself and is inspired by its outdoor surroundings. Many pieces incorporate finer carved details which are inspired by arts and crafts ,tribal artefacts, floral patterns and plants.
