Stuart has used his knowledge and understanding of artistic practice, history of art and theatrical design to create his own painterly style. His skilful drawing underlies the freedom of expression and masterly brush strokes he uses to create paintings full of light and colour.

After my degree in Fine Art and Dance I studied photography for a year and now work as a professional photographer undertaking many commissions including work for dance companies, housing associations, book publishers as well as fine art exhibitions. I explore hidden environments finding interesting details often overlooked; studying reflections and light, focusing on the patterns, shapes and textures in colour and black and white. My still life series capture a delight in books; abstract images of flowers and the amazing colours of water reflections.
