Iona Mackenzie Laycock BA (Hons)

Textile Artist

The family croft on the north coast of Scotland is a constant theme in Iona’s work. Using wool from the Sheltand sheep that graze on the shoreline, combined with paint, stitch and more recently fragments of rock. Iona creates richly textured land and seascapes. Iona is also collecting stories about wool past and present which she is making into a hanging.

See the artist's SAOS Member web page for more information.

Iona Mackenzie Laycock welcomes visitors all year round by appointment.
