I work in a range of materials including print, stitch, and digital media to create 2D and 3D work, some of which is purely decorative, whilst some conveys meanings and thoughts attached to a range of issues.

I love using my camera to record what I see, from the big skies to the minutiae of peeling paint or a rusty nail. For me the challenge is to find a way to incorporate these visually stimulating images into my work, in a non representational way, while still capturing the essence that attracted me in the first instance. Very much process orientated, I rarely produce detailed designs before I start work, preferring a mental picture or rough sketch to start an idea, after which I allow the materials to direct me.
