Painter
I paint largely from memory in acrylics, with metallics, iridescents & inks. Nature inspires me, as do found or favourite objects. Each painting is a journey which develops as I apply the paint & I allow the way the paint & ink react on the canvas to adapt my original ideas. Texture is a key factor of my work. I quite often frame the paintings or content with geometry, as I like the interplay between the forms & the chaotic nature of the patina of the paint. I run art classes for 7 year-olds and above see my website for details. I have recently created some felted pieces for my "Trees" series.
