Shauna Stanton MA

Painter

I am originally from Cornwall and studied Fine Art at Falmouth/Cardiff and eventually Birmingham School of Art. I currently work from a studio at my home in the centre of Guildford although I also spend some time each month back in Cornwall. My current paintings are watercolour on paper; I sometimes incorporate mixed media. Although abstract on first appearance on closer inspection you will see animals and figures set with-in their own landscapes.I undertake commisions and produce limited edition prints and cards.

Diana Pollock

Artist

Diana's preferred medium has been for a long time pastels, building up layers to create sometimes unexpected effects. She has developed a keen interested in the relationship with still life and the artist, believing that the interpretation of the subject matter is often consciously or not, autobiographical. She admires and references the work of artists such as Ben Nicholson, William Scott, Georgio Morandi and Matthew Smith. She now works from home in Guildford. She has exhibited in sole and collaboratory exhibitions in London and the South East.

Marion Deacon

Painter

I am often asked why do you paint? The easy answer is because I love painting. However it is far more deep-rooted than this. When I do not paint for a period of time something is missing, I yearn to paint. It's like an addiction; often when driving or going to sleep I am mentally planning how to approach a painting - colours to use and so on. . My work is a celebration of our beautiful world and through it I give thanks to the Creator God.

Henriette Van der Does

Sculptress / Painter

Henriette draws most of her inspiration from the human figure, but also expresses herself in abstract. Her sculpture is mostly cast bronze. Her paintings are acrylic or mixed media on canvas: colourful, strong work with lots of movement. Henriette started a masters degree in Art Therapy which she hopes to complete in 2013.
