Caroline Rutter

Stained Glass Artist / Craftsperson / Sculptor

The diversity and beauty of the natural world inspires my glass creations. Real(and imagined) creatures emerge lifelike from the workshop. Treasured glimpses of kingfishers, butterflies, rare breeds, horses and birds are crystallised into lingering, shimmering, colourful glass. For 2014 my new studio which puts modern glass into an original Arts and crafts house. I use glass with wood and metals as I explore its sculptural potential. I paint and fire glass producing interesting textures which play in the light. Window and gift commissions are taken

See the artist's SAOS Member web page for more information.

Caroline Rutter welcomes visitors all year round by appointment.
